Some of us have fond memories of Springdale ice cream socials or similar events in other communities, and we’re ready to revive that wonderful tradition! Tentatively scheduled for early August, the ice cream social will feature some of our all-time favorite treats, including ice cream cones and Sloppy Joes. We’re looking through notes from past ice cream socials to recreate the magic!
This is our first fundraising and fellowship event to raise dollars to help cover church expenses. We’ve been operating at a deficit, so we’re taking a proactive approach to fundraising. Our Car Show, Soup & Sandwich Supper, Wednesday Meals and other ministries are wonderful and are meant to support others. The goal of this particular event is to raise funds to go toward such things as rising fuel charges, utilities, technology and insurance, while having a fun time together.
