Need a Helping Hand?
Do you, a family member or friend need a helping hand? Maybe you don’t know where to turn or who to ask. Maybe you need help cleaning up your yard, planting flowers, making a repair on your house or getting a ride to a doctor’s appointment or church. Or maybe you just want someone to talk to. Please reach out – we may have volunteers who could help! And you don’t have to be a member of Springdale or West Blue Mounds Church. Just give Pastor Jeff or Fay a call at the parish office at 437-3493 or send an email to email@example.com.
Volunteer Opportunity: Liaison to the Mount Horeb Clothes Closet, Sorting Clothes, and Staffing
There’s a need for someone to serve as the liaison to the Mount Horeb Clothes Closet. Duties include attending a monthly Closet board meeting, keeping the parish office informed, and coordinating Springdale’s serving time in November.
We also request help from a group of people to sort items and staff the Closet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the 3rd Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Please call the parish office at 437-3493 if you would like to volunteer for any of these activities.
Volunteer Opportunity: Sunday Morning Assistance
We’re in need of volunteers for Sunday morning tasks at both Springdale and West Blue Mounds. There’s a need for ushers, lectors, Communion servers, counting the offering, and serving as a fellowship host. Please contact Secretary Fay Dahlgren or Pastor Jacobs if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. If you’d like to help at West Blue Mounds, you’re welcome to contact Kay Oimoen directly. Thank you for considering helping with these important roles!

Would you enjoy knitting mittens or making dolls? Mittens will be given to local school children to keep them warm this winter. Dolls will be given to children in local hospitals. To get more details, please contact Fay at 445-4189.
Volunteer Opportunities: The Sky’s the Limit!
In addition to any specific volunteer opportunities that may be listed, there’s always room for more. Whether you’re a member, a guest, or someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of others, there’s a place for you! All ages are welcome. There are existing ministries that may interest you, such as making quilts for children in foster care or cooking for parish meals. And, there are other activities we could initiate, such as making cards for older adults or watering flowers in the cemetery. The sky’s the limit, so let us know what you’re interested in! Please call the parish office at 437-3493 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to connect with us.
