“What’s Next, God?” is the theme of Lenten Wednesday gatherings at West Blue Mounds Lutheran, 2962 Church St., Blue Mounds, Feb. 20 through Mar. 20. Evenings begin with Community Soup Supper from 4:30-6:30, followed by worship and, from 7-7:45, “Adventures in Faith” education for pre-school through 6th grade.
Despite all our “time-saving” devices, time seems in ever shorter supply in our fast-paced world. “What’s Next, God?” invites reflection on God’s gifts of purpose, direction and, above all, his presence as a means to the most fulfilling use of our time. The series is offered by Two Steeples Parish, comprising the congregations of Springdale and West Blue Mounds.
The Soup Suppers are sponsored by the Countryside Communities Center, which hosts them on Wednesdays from November through March. Menu includes two kinds of soups, salads, desserts and beverages; freewill donation supports the pantry and other ministries of the Center.
“Adventures in Faith” is the Sunday school ministry of Two Steeples Parish. Through these midweek sessions students will specifically look at some of the “I Am” statements of Jesus to think about who Jesus is and what he means for their lives.
All are invited to share in fellowship, worship and learning. Sunday services are 8:45 a.m. at Springdale, 2752 Town Hall Rd., and 10:15 a.m. at West Blue Mounds.
