Help Rescue Christmas

The 2020 Christmas Red Kettle Campaign is just around the corner, and the Salvation Army is hoping to “Rescue Christmas.” The organization needs extra help this year because they are serving triple the number of people in their shelter programs, including more than 60 women and 55 families. Support is critical in ensuring they will be able to offer shelter that will lead to permanent housing.

The Salvation Army is asking for help in ringing bells and recruiting volunteer bellringers. This effort is the key to the kettle campaign’s success.

Ringing bells as a family is a wonderful Christmas tradition. It is a fun, easy and rewarding way to serve the community. One two-hour shift at the kettle generates an average of $120. This year they will offer a virtual kettle option for those concerned about ringing in public. Anyone can invite others to donate and then send the proceeds to the Salvation Army. You can sign up for either option at www.Ringbellsdane.org.
