“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
We have all experienced much change and challenges in our lives, community and world during this Covid-19 global pandemic! We can only take things one day at a time. Truly we need to put our trust and faith in God, that He will be with us and see us all through these challenging and difficult times. I believe Paul’s words to the community of Philippi brought strength to the people of his time; and I believe Paul’s words “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” can give us strength in these times. May we all draw strength in Christ as we live and work!
As our summer days are drawing closer to fall, many of us are preparing for the transition of our children going back to school. For most families, it means either all virtual learning or a combination of virtual learning and attending classes in school a couple times a week. It seems this will be our “new normal” for quite some time.
I too, am taking a new journey, as I have been in the beginnings of a new partnership with Two Steeples Parish, South Central Synod of Wisconsin, and Wartburg Theological Seminary. I have been approved from my entrance candidacy interview at the South Central Synod of Wisconsin to begin the TEEM ministry program through Wartburg Theological Seminary this fall. I will begin taking some online and intensive classes over the next couple of years to work toward being ordained as an ELCA Pastor. I also will be continuing to serve in the life and ministry of Two Steeples Parish during these years. It would be my hope to continue serving further on the journey as your Pastor.
I am returning to familiar grounds with Wartburg. I studied there from 1997-1999, and then graduated with an MA degree in Theology/Youth and Family Ministry in May 1999. I am excited to continue my ministry education through Wartburg.
I want to say a special thanks to our Two Steeples Council, Congregation, Pastors Linda and Loren, and the South Central Synod for their ongoing prayers and support for me in this new beginning of learning, serving and growing in life and ministry at Two Steeples Parish and Wartburg Theological Seminary.
Let us all keep God in the center of all we say and do as we continue on this journey!
Peace and Joy in Christ,
