A Life of Faith

“Jesus said, ‘The Kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how. The earth produces itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head. But when the grain is ripe, at once he goes in with his sickle, because the harvest has come.’ He also said, ‘With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs and put forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.’ Mark 4:26-32

Summer days are definitely with us, as we journey together in the wonderful warm summer days full of sunshine and hopefully some good rain too!

We recently read this Gospel story and these beautiful words of Jesus. This parable is a reminder, that like the mustard seed; our life it is about faith, trust and hope in a loving God.

So, whatever you are dealing with in life, in this time, in these days; give it to Jesus! Be at peace, and by faith, put your worries and trust in God; for our God is a loving and merciful God! Our God’s steadfast love will guide you and keep you in this day and the days to come by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Have a safe and blessed summer and we hope to see you at church for our summer service at Two Steeples Parish at 10 a.m. (Springdale 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays) and (West Blue Mounds 2nd and 4th Sundays).

Peace, Joy and Hope in Jesus Christ!
