“Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing to his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen”
Hebrews 13:20-21
With September comes the end of summer. For kids and adults, it means a big change with back-to-school schedules, getting new school supplies and clothes, and preparing for a new school year!
This year, we will once again be gathering for our Intergenerational Sunday School from September through May. We will meet at Two Steeples Parish on the third Sunday of each month following the 10 a.m. worship service at Springdale. We will meet downstairs in the Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m. Our Sunday School Rally Day and first gathering will be Sunday, September 18! All youth and interested adults/families are also invited to participate.
The end of summer also brings other changes; such as shorter days, less daylight and cooler weather. All of this change can be an exciting time for kids and families, but a change of seasons may also bring uncertainty. In the Hebrews text, it talks about how God is with us in the journey of life. We are blessed to have a relationship with God through God’s Son, Jesus.
Jesus is our Savior, “Good Shepherd” and Lord, and because of his sacrifice on the cross and victory over sin and death, we too have been saved and claimed! We too, can trust in the promises of God, because God loves you and all the people in His good creation. We journey together through the changes of the seasons and in life!
Wishing you all a blessed and joyful September! Peace and Joy in Jesus!
