A Word from St. Paul

The theme of our Vacation Bible School (VBS) this year is ATHENS: Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth. To mark this special session, St. Paul will be “visiting” VBS from August 11 to 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. He sends us this message…

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the churches of Two Steeples, Wisconsin. Grace to you
and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I want you to know, brothers and sisters at Springdale and West Blue Mounds, that I give
thanks to God for you every day. You have been called to be witnesses of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. And you have been faithful witnesses to God’s love and power for many
years.

I look forward to spending time with you during your Vacation Bible School at West Blue
Mounds on Sunday, August 11 – Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. I have heard
that you will be journeying to Athens, Greece. I will plan on meeting you there.

There is so much that I want to share with you, my fellow workers for the Gospel. I want
to share with you how God called me to preach the Good News to many people throughout
the world. I want to share with you, that though sometimes my journeys have been difficult
and dangerous, God has blessed me and journeyed with me.

I am anxious to meet with you face to face, so that you can strengthen me with your faith
and your eagerness to share the Gospel. And I am excited to share the stories of my travels
with my fellow believers. Though I have been jailed, whipped, stoned and shipwrecked,
nothing can stop the power of God working in God’s faithful people!

Greet the saints who meet at Two Steeples. My companions, Pastor Loren, Pastor Linda
and Jim, send greetings and will also see you in Athens. Peace and love be with you all.

Paul
