Our Path for Ministry

Dear Friends in Christ:

We are the body of Christ together in this world, bearing the message of Jesus’ resurrection to all whom we encounter. As resurrection people we live in the hope of God’s promise of new life which calls us into a renewed vision for the future. As we look to the path ahead for ministry at Two Steeples, we are called to meet the challenge of a changing world that still is in need of the renewing and refreshing message of Jesus Christ crucified and risen from the dead.

On Thursday, April 25, the Two Steeples Joint Church Council met. Some changes were discussed and will be implemented.

1. At the Annual Meeting at West Blue Mounds, it was clear that a number of our members missed the Sunday morning service. It was good to try the Wednesday evening service, but it does not seem to be meeting the needs right now. So the Joint Council decided to again schedule Sunday Services at both congregations. (More on the schedule later!)

2. The Wednesday evening dinners seem to be going well and it is hoped that we can continue with them. The food is great and it is a good time for fellowship. We will do more to advertise them in the Blue Mounds area in the hope that it meets a need in our community.
Following the Wednesday dinners there will be a time for Devotions/Bible Study.

Schedule for May:
Sunday, May 5 – Worship at Springdale at 9:00 a.m.
Wednesday, May 8 – Dinner at West Blue Mounds at 5:30 followed
by Devotions/Bible Study
Sunday, May 12 – Worship at Springdale at 9:00 a.m.
Worship at West Blue Mounds at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, May 15 – Dinner at West Blue Mounds at 5:30 p.m.
followed by Devotions/Bible Study
Sunday, May 19 – Worship at Springdale at 9:00 a.m.
Our preacher will be Rev. Steve Kottke. Following the Service
there will be a time to fellowship downstairs to sit down with him and discuss how Two Steeples will move forward.

The schedule will then continue with Sunday Worship at Springdale at 9:00 a.m., and Sunday Worship at West Blue Mounds at 10:30 a.m. The Wednesday evening schedule will continue with supper at 5:30 followed by Devotions/Bible Study.

As we continue to live in the joy of the blessings that God has provided for us, may we be renewed in the Spirit’s presence and emboldened to proclaim the message of salvation to our community and the world.

Yours in Christ, Pastor Loren and Pastor Linda
